"Local communities participating in the MULTIEU project established mutual cooperation back in 2013 by signing a Memorandum of Understanding, when they officially founded the Network of Small European Cultural Towns ""I Care for Europe"" whose activities, among others, aim to: - encourage European integration and mutual understanding - build a structural network of small towns/local communities with the aim of developing and preserving local cultural and natural heritage in a sustainable manner as a common heritage of European peoples. Around 320 participants, representatives of 8 local communities from 5 countries, will directly participate in the International Event in Bač (Serbia) in activities that have as their ultimate goal strengthening mutual understanding and tolerance, and exchanging experiences and examples of good practice with the aim of further strengthening European cohesion by developing a sense of European belonging and identity. Each delegation will include: representatives of public authorities, municipal tourist organizations, cultural associations, youth and local minority associations, representatives of local schools (teachers and educators) as well as interested citizens. These local stakeholders are representatives of their communities and are willing to participate and further promote participatory projects and activities with the aim of increasing the possibilities for the sustainability of local policies and the valorization of local traditions and cultural heritage, thus raising awareness of the richness of our common European heritage. By applying a bottom-up approach, the project will provide an opportunity to focus on EU priorities, by increasing knowledge about EU programs and policies in the field of promotion and protection of cultural heritage, sustainable development and sustainable cultural tourism and cross-border cooperation as well as importance of ""youth involvement in the promotion of local policies for sustainable development and the promotion of local cultural/natural values"", focused on education for active citizenship and public participation (seminar), by exchanging best practices in favor of diversity, social, cultural and economic inclusion of entire community in development of cultural tourism (workshop). All topics will be presented and discussed at the planned seminar and workshop dedicated to different stakeholder groups, the results of which will be presented to all participants at the Final General Assembly of the International Event in Bač and will be distributed to all their communities as well as to the wider public via web tools implemented within the project."
