"The project ""Multilanguage Summer Camps"" aims to promote social integration, inclusivity, and mutual respect among children from different cultural backgrounds by incorporating language and cultural education into sports-based programs. In particular, it seeks to promote social inclusion and provide support to children from 6 to 12 years old who have recently migrated to a new country. Through the use of sports activities and games in a new format of Multilanguage Summer Camps, the project aims to create an environment where children from diverse cultural backgrounds can come together, learn, and have fun while improving their communication and social skills. The ultimate goal is to facilitate the integration process of the migrant families into the new country and provide children with the tools they need to overcome the challenges they face with their peers and at school in the new environment. As a means to overcome the challenge of social inclusion, sport activities are surely powerful ones, as sport activities have also been linked by the academic and European community to significantly support migrant integration. It is indeed of general consensus among the sport and European community that sport can be used as a tool to promote integration and social inclusion. As the White Paper on Intercultural Dialogue (2008) says, ""Sport is an important potential arena for intercultural dialogue, which can help to promote respect, understanding, and tolerance between different cultures and nations”. Sporting events bring people together, often from different parts of the world, to share a common interest and passion. This creates a unique opportunity for people to engage with others who they may not normally interact with in their daily lives. Through sport, people can learn about different cultures and traditions, and gain a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities that exist in different parts of the world."
