Multilingual Education Initiative in Rajasthan Government Schools

under implementation

Rajasthan has launched a multilingual education initiative in government schools to incorporate local dialects into classroom teaching. The project aims to bridge the gap between home and school language by teaching students commonly spoken local words instead of standard Hindi terms. Initially implemented in 11 districts, the program will expand across the state in phases. The initiative is supported by UNICEF and other organizations and has been piloted in select schools in Dungarpur and Sirohi districts, showing improvements in student attendance and basic reading and writing abilities.
