Description

Description

MMUST proposes to create a decision support tool whose governance would be shared, allowing institutional actors to work together on land evolution hypotheses to effectively organise the mobility of people and goods. It offers an answer to the problem of mobility through a tool that is currently lacking in the territory: a cross-border multimodal model of travel forecasting. Through the collection and harmonisation of socio-economic and mobility data, this tool will simulate travel under different forward-looking urban and socio-economic planning scenarios. It will thus make it possible to compare the supply of transport (based on road and public transport networks) with a demand for daily travel (work, places of study, etc.). The model can then be used in particular to study the impact of different infrastructure or planning projects on the territory.
