Multinational - CBFF – Stabilizing Carbon Emissions in The Sangha Tri National Forest Complex

The Stabilizing Carbon Emissions in The Sangha Tri National Forest Complex project aims to achieve sustainable stabilisation of carbon emissions. It will make it possible to set up long-term income-generating mechanisms that will directly improve the standard of living of rural populations in the Sangha Tri-national complex. The project's contribution to improving the living conditions of people living near the Sangha Tri-National (TNS) is central to the management strategies for the various forms of land use in the TNS (parks, forestry concessions, hunting concessions, etc.). It is also an integral part of the three countries' strategies for reducing poverty in disadvantaged areas. The project has three main outcomes, namely: (i) the legal and institutional frameworks and technical capacities needed to ensure effective implementation of the TNS land-use vision are strengthened; (ii) the living conditions of rural community members are improved through community management; and (iii) the TNS Foundation effectively carries out its funding and conservation missions.
