Multinational - COMESA-EAC-SADC Tripartite Capacity Building Programme

The COMESA-EAC-SADC Tripartite Capacity Building Programme consists of providing technical assistance to the three Regional Economic Communities (RECs) parties to the agreement, as well as to their Regional Member Countries (RMCs), in order to develop their trade. The programme will support the process of tripartite negotiations, the development of trade facilitation instruments and action plans for industrial clusters in the Tripartite Free Trade Area (TFTA). Expected outputs are: (i) installation of software for non-tariff measures (NTM) databases and capacity building for SPS/TBT standards management; (ii) improved capacities for market access negotiations and implementation; and (iii) capacity building for effective development of industrial clusters and value chains.
