Multinational - Feasibility study for Gabon-ICT backbone project

This intervention concerns the feasibility studies of the Gabon Component of the Central African Fibre Optic Backbone (CAB) project. It includes the setting up of a National Data Centre (Datacenter), a Computer Attack Warning and Response Centre (CSIRT) and a public key infrastructure. These feasibility studies consist of preparing Gabon's interconnection with Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea, and the extension of national fibre optic coverage on the 14 priority axes. This extension goes from the Meyo-Kye-Kyo-Ossi axis (5 km) to the Ndendé-Doussala axis (50 km), via the Lambaréné-Fougamou-Mouila-Ndendé-Tchibanga-Mayumba axis (457 km). In total, a 1,900 km extension, which responds to the main recommendation of the Plan for Infrastructure Development in Africa (Pida), according to which each country on the continent should have at least two fibre optic land links with its immediate neighbours.
