Multinational - Institutional Support Project for the General Secretariat of the Arab Maghreb Union (AMU)

This intervention relates to the Institutional Support Project for the General Secretariat of the Arab Maghreb Union (AMU). It was conceived because of the major institutional and structural weaknesses facing the AMU SG, which prevent it from effectively carrying out the missions assigned to it by the Member States as part of their integration process. This support is intended to improve the skills of the staff of the AMU SG and to equip them with the resources needed to carry out these activities. It aims to strengthen the technical skills of AMU staff, improve the SG's working procedures and modernise its document storage and archiving techniques, so as to improve its efficiency. In the light of the weaknesses identified, the support proposed for the SG will comprise two components, namely: (i) support for the institutional and organisational capacities of the WBU SG" and (ii) capacity building and training.
