Multinational - Pan African University Project

The Pan-African University Project will support this University and contribute to Africa's goal of improving its competitiveness and accelerating its growth through the creation of quality higher education and research skills. It aims to promote the mobility of African researchers. The same is true for all higher education teachers and researchers, who can benefit from exchange programmes, as well as interaction with academics and scientists from African and foreign institutions. A fellowship programme will be set up to provide the necessary financial support to all students admitted to the APU during the first five years. The project has an important development impact, as it will contribute to the training of high-level human resources essential for Africa's competitiveness and transformation. The private sector will continue to play a key role in the successful management of the APU. The main components of the project are (i) support to the science and technology programmes (PAUSTI and PAULESI), (ii) support to the governance and regional integration programme (PAUGHSS) and (iii) support to the administration of the PAU and project management.
