Multinational - Regional Franchising Program

The Regional Franchising Program aims to stimulate economic growth and job creation in the SME sector through the advancement of franchising in Africa. It has a total cost of USD 950,000. The program consists of 3 components: (i) To develop cost effective standardized materials to create awareness on franchising, thereby providing a starting point for the advancement of franchising in African countries; (ii) To create an enabling legal and regulatory environment, and equip franchising stakeholders with the capacity to support the development of franchising; (iii) Create business opportunities for the Bank and its financial partners in the region to commence extending finance to franchise systems so as to grow and expand the sector. It will be executed through a cost-effective three level approach: regional, subregional, and country level.
