Description | The “Rehabilitation of Selected Road Sections Phase II: Detailed Architectural and Engineering Design of Manyovu/Mugina One-Stop Border Post (OSBP)” is part of the regional project concerned with the upgrade/rehabilitation of selected key corridor sections interconnecting Rwanda, Tanzania and Burundi along the Central Corridor. It aims to review of studies, detailed architectural and engineering designs and preparation of tender documents. The overall outcome of this project is to design a ‘technically sound, integrated and efficient’ border post that will complement all corridor users and foster joint operations between Burundi and Tanzania. The key outputs of the studies for both lots are: Technical and Economic Feasibility Study Report; Environmental and Social Impact Assessment Report; Detailed Engineering Design Reports; and Bidding Documents. As of July 2018, several key deliverables under Lot 1 Tanzania/Rwanda and Lot 2 Tanzania/Burundi are in their final stage of completion. |
