Multinational - Study on the Ouesso-Bangui-N’Djamena Road and Inland Navigation on the Congo, Oubangui and Sangha Rivers

The proposed Study will contribute at sectoral level to the strengthening of regional integration through the establishment of inter-state links within the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS). Specifically, it aims to determine the technical, environmental and economic feasibility of developing the missing links of the N'djamena-Bangui-Pointe Noire or Matadi corridors by road and/or river (through navigation on the Congo, Oubangui and Sangha rivers). The Study comprises two components (study and study management), for a total cost of UA 8.60 million, including UA 8.00 million from the ADF. The study component is subdivided into two components (road and navigation) and each will be the subject of full studies. Execution will run from January 2011 to June 2013 and will be carried out by ECCAS under the authority delegated to it by Congo, CAR, DRC and Chad.
