Multinational - Sub-Regional Multisectoral Institute of Applied Technology, Project Planning and Appraisal Strengthening Project (ISTA)

This ISTA Strengthening Project is a contribution to the building of capacities for analyzing and managing economic and social development projects in Central Africa. It is designed to support the institutional strengthening of ISTA as well as guide and consolidate its development better. The institutional strengthening envisaged in this project entails a study and financial support to cover part of the training needs of the staff and the procurement of teaching aids. The ISTA Strengthening Project will help evaluate the quality of the curricula and by so doing develop more appropriate and diversified courses. Indeed, the strengthening of the contents of the courses and expertise of the teachers will help enhance the quality of the curricula offered. By so doing, ISTA will be able to attract more students, provide more services to the community and consequently improve its self-financing capacity as well as its regional and continental influence. The project will also help strengthen the Institute, through the retraining programme which will improve the skills of the teachers and by increasing the teaching resources. The total cost, excluding taxes and customs duties, is estimated at UA 0.67 million for a 3-year execution period.
