Multinational - Support to Capacity Building for Open and Distance Learning (ODL)

Support to Capacity Building for Open and Distance Learning (ODL) projet is aimed at facilitating the SADC Region’s education systems and institutions to work together more effectively and efficiently through better co-ordinated networks and institutional practices, both within and across the Member States. This project was initiated because of the major challenges in education and development that the SADC region faces, in particular the low number of teachers and the need to increase the supply of relevant technical and vocational training. It has two components: (i) ODL Regional Policy Development and Strategic Planning (ii) Capacity Building for Open and Distance Learning. The total cost is estimated at UA 16.67 million.
