Description
Description | The present study concerns the Boké-Quebo road, part of which is in Guinean territory and the other in Guinea-Bissau territory. As such, the study is part of the policy of spatial planning and development of agricultural potential in both countries. The lack of development of the approximately 112 km long Boké-Québo road delays the opening up of the regions with high agricultural potential thus crossed in the two countries and strongly handicaps the integration effort of the sub-region. The completion of this study will enable the two governments to determine the best management solution for the Boké - Québo road, the realization of which will not only open up the areas crossed, but also promote regional economic integration. It will comprise two successive phases: A) Phase I: resumption of the topographical study, updating of the economic and technical feasibility study, realization of the environmental and socio-economic studies and realization of a study in terms of networks integrating the related rural roads and modes of intermediate transport and B) Phase II: Detailed technical study and preparation of bidding documents for the development solution of the Boké-Québo axis that will be retained at the end of the first phase. The estimated cost of the study is UA 0.99 million. The duration of execution will be fifteen (15) months. |
