Core problem Due to malnutrition, 35% of children under two years of age in Zambia show reduced height (stunting). Module objective The stunting rate among children under two years of age is reduced by an average of 2% per year in the target districts. The knowledge acquired as part of the project is applied sustainably by the target group in the target districts. Key outputs - The target group receives the full spectrum of information and support regarding maternal and child nutrition, health and hygiene as part of the Care Group Model (or teaching methods adapted for urban conditions). - The target group has access to water, hygiene and sanitation facilities. - The target group has access to varied and nutritious foods. Target group Pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and children under 2 years of age as well as women of reproductive age. Contribution to the national implementation of Agenda 2030 The project contributes to achieving Agenda Goal 2 End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture as well as Goals 3, 5 and 6 Health, Gender Equality and Clean Water and Sanitation.
