Description

Description

The Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project is a 508-kilometer high-speed rail line in India featuring Japan's next-generation E10 Shinkansen trains. The project includes the construction of the entire track using Japanese Shinkansen technology, with several river bridges either completed or in advanced stages of development. A significant milestone was the completion of a 21-kilometer underwater tunnel segment between BKC and Thane in Maharashtra. The project also involves the construction of stations, bridges, overhead electrical lines, and track laying, with operating and control systems acquisition progressing smoothly. The BKC station is designed to be an engineering marvel with a base 32.5 meters below the surface supporting a 95-meter-tall building. The success of this project is expected to pave the way for future bullet train corridors in India.
