Description | The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, requested the Union Railway Minister for the introduction of a Vande Bharat Express or a superfast train between Dehradun and Mumbai. He also sought the extension of the Dehradun-Kota train to Surat, Vadodara, and Mumbai, increased frequency of Haridwar-Mumbai and Ramnagar-Mumbai trains, faster execution of the Raiwala-Dehradun section of the Haridwar-Dehradun doubling project, full funding for the Kichha-Sitarganj-Khatima rail line, transfer of old Rishikesh railway station land to the state government, modernization and expansion of several railway stations, and new halts for certain express trains at Banbasa station. |
