Description | The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) launched an ambitious road concretisation project two years ago to concretise roads in Mumbai. The project covers a total of 2,121 roads measuring 698.44 km under Phase I and Phase II. As of May 31, 2025, 49.07% of the overall target has been completed, with 1,385 roads spanning 342.74 km concretised. Phase I involved 700 roads covering 320.08 km, with 63.53% completed. Phase II involved 1,421 roads covering 378.36 km, with 36.84% completed. The roads have been opened for traffic after completion, and no agency will be permitted to excavate the roads after concretisation. IIT Bombay acted as an independent third-party quality auditor. |
