Description | The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has directed the Tata Projects–Daewoo joint venture, the contractor for the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL), to repair a damaged two-kilometre stretch of the Navi Mumbai–bound carriageway of the Atal Setu. The contractor was given five days to carry out immediate repairs and instructed to fully relay the affected section after the monsoon using dense bituminous macadam and asphalt concrete to ensure durability. The MMRDA has imposed a Rs 1 crore fine on the contractor for poor workmanship and extended the defect liability period by one year. |
