Municipal Operations Complex - HVAC Replacement

This project consists of replacing the City of Saint John’s Municipal Operation Complex HVAC unit and control system, which is over 30 years old and has a high risk of failure. The city conducted a detailed building condition assessment and energy audit on building, which determined that the existing HVAC system is in need of replacement. The new system will improve indoor air quality, reduce greenhouse gas emissions emissions by 38 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e), reduce capital expenditures, as well as operating and maintenance costs. The overall expected life expectancy of the renewed HVAC system is 25 years.
