The Municipality of the District of Lunenburg’s Osprey Village Active Transportation Connector is a timely infrastructure addition to an area just beginning an expansion for commercial, business, and residential use. Over 2021-2023 the project will build a continuous 1.2km long active transportation multi-use pathway (MUP), a 280m sidewalk section, and 75m multi-use pathway bridge (MUB) connecting Osprey Village’s commercial, educational, hospitality, and residential developments with the Town of Bridgewater and its in-town transit system. This crossing will create a new opportunity for safe, non-vehicular travel between two neighboring municipalities. MUPs: 1.2km by 4m wide - asphalt (new construction along roadway) Sidewalks: 0.28km by 1.5m wide - concrete (new construction along roadway) AT Bridge: 0.075km by 4m wide (new construction along roadway)
