The FC module objective is to increase the operational reliability of the Tojikiston small hydropower plant in the city of Murgab. The target group are the electricity consumers in Murgab who are connected to the distribution network. The FC measure includes the rehabilitation of the existing small hydropower plant (CHP) and the provision of consulting services to support the project sponsor in the timely implementation of the measure as part of an immediate measure (Section 47 of the FC/TC guidelines). The project sponsor is Pamir Energy, which operates the power plant and is responsible for the electricity supply in the Gorno Badakshan Autonomous Oblast (GBAO) region. Overall, the people of Murgab have high expectations of an efficient and reliable electricity supply. The costs of the FC measure are estimated at up to EUR 7.4 million. The necessary rehabilitation measures on the distribution network are to be financed and carried out by the Tajik side.
