Music City Loop Tunnel Expansion

The Music City Loop is a proposed tunnel project by Elon Musk's Boring Company, intended to connect downtown Nashville near the Capitol to Nashville International Airport under Murfreesboro Road. The project aims to provide private transport using Tesla electric vehicles through parallel tunnels allowing travel in both directions. The project is planned to be expanded to include routes to the East Bank and Music City Star depot in the Donelson area. The project includes safety features such as emergency vehicle access, redundant communication systems, ventilation for battery fires, secure access points, and watertight tunnels. It is privately funded with a cost of a few hundred million dollars and will require Metro and state permits.
