Music City Loop Tunnel Project

planned

A bill is progressing through the Tennessee legislature to create the Subterranean Transportation Infrastructure Coordination Authority, a state entity designed to oversee and fast-track tunnel-based transit projects including the proposed Music City Loop. This loop would carry passengers underground between downtown Nashville and the airport. The bill includes a scaled-back plan with a smaller staff and reduced budget to address cost concerns, aiming to streamline permits, resolve disputes, and speed up project timelines.
