Muskegon Waterfront Land Swap and Port Expansion Project

Mart Dock, a subsidiary of West Michigan Dock & Market Corp., proposes a land swap with the city of Muskegon to close the Fisherman’s Landing Campground and expand port operations at the site. The project includes relocating the Mart Dock boat-storage facility to Fisherman’s Landing, expanding port operations to accommodate larger cruise ships, and redeveloping the Third Street Wharf into a waterfront green space with possible retail shops. The plan also envisions a multi-million maritime museum and aims to increase public waterfront access and create jobs.
