Muskoday First Nation - Construct Cultural Centre

The primary purpose of this project is to build a cultural centre to have space to provide cultural events. The centre will be used for ceremonies, workshops, language classes, history, art, dance, land based learning and funerals. Muskoday experienced genocide in a severe way and it shows with the amount of violence, addictions and mental health issues that brings so much grief and heartache to everyone from Muskoday. This centre is desperately needed for everyone on Muskoday, culture is the essence of who we are, who we belong to, where we come from, and how we relate to one another. Culture is the basis of traditions, customs, protocols, values, spirituality, and ceremonies, language, ways of knowing and being, and connections to the land and the life-sustaining resources of the land.
