Description
Description | The project consists of upgrading the 2 dining rooms within the facility. Rationale: In order to make more space for the residents, a portion of the wall will be removed for each dining area, opening up the space and making more accessible for residents. In addition, the reconfigurations allow the recreation department space large enough for socially distanced activities of groups larger than just a few people. Having a more open space gives the opportunity to involve more residents safely. One dining area will have an opening created in the wall allowing for a more clear view of residents during meal time thus increasing monitoring at mealtime for safety concerns. Each dining room area will have the installation of a counter top station with upper and lower cabinets for a medication delivery. This will replace the single medication cart that is used throughout the entire facility. An improved system with medication delivery from two areas encompassing smaller groups of residents reduces the risk of viral spread and assists with flow when it is necessary to cohort residents and staff. |
