Description | The project includes a 135 MW (AC) solar farm and a 100 MW battery energy storage system located on a former coal mine site in New South Wales, Australia. It is expected to power up to 52,310 homes and create up to 200 construction jobs during the development phase. The project is situated 2.5 km east of Muswellbrook within the Hunter Central Coast Renewable Energy Zone. OX2 will contribute around AUD 115,000 annually through a Community Benefit Sharing Program under an agreement with Muswellbrook Shire Council. The company has secured a long-term hybrid power purchase agreement covering solar generation and battery storage, with operations expected to begin in 2028. |
