Description | Construction of a solar-plus-storage facility featuring 135MW of solar photovoltaic capacity and 300MWh of battery energy storage on 482 hectares of former coal mining land within the Hunter Central Coast Renewable Energy Zone in New South Wales, Australia. The project includes 2.4km of new overhead transmission lines connecting to the state grid and National Electricity Market via a 132kV line owned by Ausgrid. It is developed in partnership with Japanese firms Idemitsu and MUFG, with an offtake agreement signed with an international buyer. The project received environmental and planning approvals and includes requirements for traffic, waste, biodiversity, accommodation, and decommissioning management plans. |
