Description | Kerala Water Authority has floated an e-tender to select a private partner for a proposed tertiary treatment plant at the Muttathara sewage treatment plant site. The project includes advanced wastewater processing methods like filtration, adsorption, and disinfection to remove remaining contaminants. The treated water will be suitable for non-potable uses such as irrigation and industrial applications. The Rs 17 crore project includes Rs 2 crore for an overhead tank and is expected to be the first such facility in the state, operational in 18 months from June 2025. |
