Description
Description | The project development objective (PDO) is to enhance the competitiveness of the broadband market, to improve identification for in-person and online service delivery, and to leverage digital technologies, data, and analytics for climate resilience. The project is articulated around four components: (1) Enabling environment for improved digital connectivity and competitiveness; (2) Digital identification for improved online and in-person service delivery; (3) Digital technologies and data platform for climate resilience; and (4) Project management and implementation support. The project seeks to promote more affordable broadband-enabled services, put in place more secure, convenient, and privacy-conscious identification mechanisms for service delivery, and provide improved data and analytics for climate adaptation. This will improve people’s, businesses’, and government agencies’ access to broadband and to digital services and opportunities while also promoting data-driven climate policymaking and sustainable development across the public and private sectors. |
