Description | The project would include: expansion of the existing cotton textile mill at Mwanza to produce an additional 20 million meters of cotton fabrics per year, bringing total production of MTL to 43 million meters. The project would be implemented by a foreign engineering company and an adviser to assist the sponsors in supervision of project implementation. The project also provides for a feasibility study of a cotton blend unit including an investigation into the export potential for Tanzanian-made textiles in East Africa. |
