Youth4Change – My City, My Country, My Europe: Youth Shaping the Future promotes community-led social development by empowering young people from marginalized communities. Adopting a bottom-up approach, the project emphasizes citizen ownership and structured dialogue to address local social needs while fostering inclusion and participation. Young leaders, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, will actively engage in co-creating, debating, and reflecting on local, national, and European issues. Through this process, they will strengthen their sense of belonging and agency as active European citizens. The project will serve as a dynamic platform for diverse cultural, educational, and dialogue activities that foster social cohesion and mutual understanding based on shared democratic values. Recognizing the transformative power of creativity, Youth4Change will provide participants with tools and skills to confront the challenges they face in their communities. Participants will be mobilised to become active citizens through civic education workshops that strengthen their critical thinking, media literacy, and awareness of their civic rights and responsibilities. These workshops—implemented through non-formal and experiential learning methods—will encourage reflection, dialogue, and collaboration among youth. Complemented by structured dialogue meetings with policymakers and artistic and creative expression activities, the initiative will empower young people to act as positive change-makers, shaping more inclusive and democratic societies at the local, national, and European levels.
