MyPolis - Citizenship Agents

ongoing

The MyPolis project creates room for a democracy accessible to all and will challenge young European citizens to become citizenship agents and contribute to the future of Europe.  The participants will learn more about citizenship in a fun way, by using innovative digital tools in the classroom. In the process, they will learn more about democratic institutions in Europe, explore their territory, auscultate community members, debate with participants from other countries, ideate and bring to life innovate solutions that contribute to key areas for the future of Europe.  The students will have the opportunity to showcase their initiatives to their local and EU political representatives and to participants from other countries. For this, they will participate in Social Transformation Assemblies to be held in each participating country, vote to elect the most relevant initiatives and maintain ongoing communication through MyPolis, an e-democracy platform. European citizens will be able to get to know and engage with participants’ initiatives on the MyPolis platform. The main results from this process will be showcased through an online communication campaign. In the final stage of the project, participants from different countries will gather in the event “Metaverse Citizenship Arena”, in which they will have the opportunity to solve key citizenship challenges that contribute to the future of Europe using a innovative AR game. This project creates a direct communication channel between young citizens from different participating countries, who will become citizenship agents, have a say about the future of Europe and work together to improve Europe.
