Mysuru Airport Runway Expansion Phase I

under construction

The project involves the expansion of Mysuru Airport's existing runway from 1,740 metres x 30 metres to 2,300 metres x 45 metres to accommodate larger aircraft such as Airbus A-320 and Boeing 737. The expansion requires 240 acres of land, with 206 acres already acquired and compensation disbursed. The project also includes diversion of National Highway 766 with construction of tunnels and utility ducts. Coordination among various departments and resolution of land acquisition issues are ongoing to ensure timely completion.
