N2 Wild Coast Road Project

under construction

The N2 Wild Coast Road Project is a major infrastructure development in the Eastern Cape, South Africa, aimed at improving connectivity between rural areas, unlocking economic opportunities, and creating jobs. The project has faced delays, cost overruns, and protests, particularly regarding the coastal alignment of the road. The Amadiba Crisis Committee opposes the current coastal route and proposes an alternative inland route to protect land rights and the environment. Community meetings have been held to update residents and garner support, but divisions remain.
