Description | The Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) has decided to lower the minimum draw down level (MDDL) of the Nagarjunasagar project from 510 feet to 505 feet to meet the drinking water needs of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana till July 31, 2025. The board approved the release of 4 tmcft water to Andhra Pradesh and 10.26 tmcft to Telangana. The releases from Nagarjunasagar are to be done from May 22 at a rate of 5,500 cusec from the Right Main Canal to meet Andhra Pradesh's needs, while Telangana's needs are to be met from the Srisailam reservoir till July 31. |
