Description | The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has initiated the drafting of a new and comprehensive revised development plan (DP) for Nagpur city after nearly 25 years. The plan, prepared under the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966, will replace the earlier 2000 plan by Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT) and guide urban development for the next two decades. The DP covers the extended municipal boundaries excluding areas under other authorities like Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Ltd, Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd, and Maharashtra Airport Development Company. It includes reservations for civic amenities and will undergo public review and approval processes. |
