Nags Head Beach Nourishment Project

The project involves beach nourishment in the Town of Nags Head, North Carolina. It includes dredging operations starting at the submerged pipeline landing point near Camelot Street and proceeding north to Juncos Street public beach access, then south to the end of the project area near the 10435 block of South Old Oregon Inlet Road. The dredge will then move towards other landing points towards Jennette’s Pier later in the summer. The northern project area dredge is expected to arrive around May 26 and will work from south of Nags Head Pier north to 2919 South Virginia Dare Trail and then south again towards Jennette’s Pier. The project is expected to be completed by late July, subject to weather and other factors.
