Description

Description

Zoomlion Kenya commenced operations in Nairobi under the city's integrated waste management programme, making significant progress in transforming the capital's waste management system. The project includes large-scale legacy waste evacuation from illegal dumpsites to the Dandora Dumpsite, major improvements at the Dandora Dumpsite such as upgrading internal access roads, reorganizing tipping operations, and introducing 24-hour operational systems. The company plans to introduce a modern secondary waste collection system supported by four zonal transfer stations and develop a 3,600-tonne-per-day waste processing and resource recovery facility at Ruai, expected to be commissioned by the end of November 2026.
