Description | The Nairobi-Nakuru-Mau Summit Highway project involves the development of a vital highway corridor in Kenya, comprising two major sections: the A8 segment from Rironi Interchange to Mau Summit turnoff (174.9 km) and the A8 South from Rironi to Naivasha via Mai Mahiu (56.38 km). The project aims to support regional logistics and trade by linking the Port of Mombasa to landlocked East and Central African countries. Two Chinese firms, China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) and a consortium of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and Shandong Hi-Speed Road and Bridge Group, have been approved to proceed with feasibility studies and procurement steps for the project development phase. |
