Description
Description | The project will see the renovation of the Main Lounge by subdividing it into 3 rooms: a resident’s lounge; a visiting room for scheduled family visits; and a medical practitioner’s office. Rationale: The Main Lounge is original to the building, which is 32 years old, is used by 36 residents. During the pandemic it has been very challenging to cohort residents, since they all tend to gather in one area due to lack of alternate spaces for smaller gatherings. Once these rooms are built, the facility will be able to free up space in one of the wings to create an additional resident lounge. The goal is to have smaller lounges, and the ability to isolate wings for better cohorting and ability to distance safely. |
