Namibia - Kamanjab - Omakange Road Project

The transport sector policy of Government of Namibia (GRN) lays special emphasis on the importance of a good road network for the economic and social development of the country. MR67 from Kamanjab to Omakange is one of the priority links identified by the Kunene Master Plan Study. The road has a length of 204 km and connects with two other roads earmarked for upgrading in 2004. The first one being MR 100 from Omakange to Opuwo, which is co-financed by RFA and Government and the second, MR 122 from Omakange to Okahao, financed entirely by Government. The project has been accorded high priority within the Second National Development Plan (NDP-2) and forms part of the Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP).
