Description | The proposed project at the existing Nanaimo Aquatic Centre will recover waste heat and complete a mid-life renewal of heating, dehumidification, and air-handling equipment. The project will reduce the building’s greenhouse gas emissions by more than 60% by improving building energy efficiency. The project works will include: - heat-recovery chiller; - two (2) replacement air-handling units with hydronic cooling coils; - air-source heat pump; - condensing natural gas boilers to replace boiler plant; - HVAC controls; and - mechanical, electrical, control/monitoring, signage, and other related works and appurtenances. |
