Nanaimo Regional District - Huxley Skatepark Project

The project will increase access to community and recreation by constructing a skatepark in Huxley Park on Gabriola Island. The new park will allow youth on Gabriola Island to have improved recreational activities. The project works will include: - construction of an approximately 1800 sq metre skate/bike park; - installation of covered structure and wooden benches; - portable bleachers - garbage cans; - construction of new trails to connect to the bus stop and surrounding neighbourhoods; - gravel parking lot; - retaining wall and chain link fencing; and, - related works and appurtenances.
