Description | In January 2009, a Hong Kong based company Biomax Co., Ltd. was granted a 27 year BOT agreement to construct and operate a household waste incineration power plant in Quanling District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. The total investment was RMB 480 million (US$ 70.28 million), and the capacity of the plant was 24MW. Biomax had a 100% stake in the project. The plant could process 1200 tons of household waste per day. Financial closing was achieved and open bidding for construction works started in October 2009.
