Under the joint venture they will operate a 140km dual 2 or 3 lane class 1 highway in Nanhai. At financial closure, the road was expected to be operational in 1999. The total project costs are HK$2,554 million (US$ 330 million), of which CKI is investing HK$1,394 million (US$180 million). CKI has shares in the joint venture ranging from 49% to 64.4% depending on the road. CKI disposed of its shares in the project in 2002. |
