The project involves the investment, construction and operation of the phase I of Nanyang Waste-to-energy plant, located in Nanyang, Henan Province, China. The project will be constructed in 2 phases with a total designed daily waste processing capacity of 2,250 tonnes. Phase I has a designed daily waste processing capacity of 1,500 tonnes (547,500 tonnes per year) and will have 2 x 750 tonnes/day mechanic grate furnaces and 2 x 20MW turbine power generators. The project will be constructed on a PPP basis for a concession period of 30 years, which includes the construction period. Everbright International Ltd is one of the sponsors holding a 65% stake. The others are not disclosed. The phase I project cost is CNY 870 million ($ 123.68 million). Financial close was reached on 7 August 2019.
