Elliot Films is an independent production company that develops and produces primarily documentaries as well as narrative films and social and environmental content. Founded in 2018 by documentary filmmaker, author and cinematographer Enrico Parenti together with social and cultural project manager Susanna Trojano, it produced in 2018 its first feature-length documentary SOYALISM supported by the Pulitzer Center and premiered at IDFA (2018); selected at more than 50 festivals worldwide, it won 13 awards and was subsequently sold to 10 international television stations, including RAI (Italy), DW (Germany), TVN (Poland), TVP (Poland), TVE (Spain), TG4 (Ireland), WDR PHOENIX (Germany), ZDF (Germany), ERR (Estonia), Globosat (Brazil) The YouTube version currently has over 1.1 million views. In early 2022 Elliot Films announced the release of its latest documentary NOVOROSSIYA, about the war in Donbass, which premiered at CPH:DOX 2022 and was selected for the Italian premiere at Biografilm 2022, at Bergen Film Festival (NO) and Big Sky Documentary Film Festival (USA) Elliot Films regularly collaborates with Sky Italy as a service for the production of special content, interviews and video products for Sky Cinema, Sky Arte. The purpose of the development is to develop a creative documentary about an incredible yet unknown Chinese female figure, Li Nanyang, in co-production with the renowned and award-winning Danish documentary production company, Final Cut for Real. NANYANG is the incredible story of one woman: a scientist, daughter of Mao's personal secretary, whose own life reflects China's history over the last 60 years, and who, after obtaining her father's diaries, is at the center of a legal battle over the interpretation of China's recent history and especially the image of Mao.
